Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Milo, and I am PORTLAND, OR. looking for my forever home! I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dogs being led to slaughter for human consumption. DoVE Project heard about me, and now I am looking for my forever family!
ID/NAME: 20-009-1 / Milo
WEIGHT/AGE: Male / 50lbs / 5 years old
BIRTH DATE: 10/31/2019
BREED: Jindo mix
VACCINATIONS/SPAY/NEUTER/HEALTH: Vaccinations up to date / neutered
BEHAVIOR:
Milo loves long walks, running, sniffing, car rides, snow, cleaning up the last of a yogurt container, and following commands. He’s loyal, deeply affectionate, hilariously goofy, very smart and communicative. His perfect day would involve a long hike or an off-leash run (he has excellent recall), getting tons of compliments from strangers about how handsome he is, tasty treats, and end with lots of pets from you while watching TV together.
Milo is eager to please and learns fast! Milo is a typical Jindo. He will be slow to trust other humans and when he does, he will be unwaveringly loyal. Milo likes his personal space and enjoys getting pets however, he isn’t a fan of hugs. Milo is sensitive to motorcycles and skateboards (loud, unexpected noises) and delivery people. When on a walk, Milo prefers to stay away from other large dogs.
Background: Milo is currently living with his original family in Portland, OR. Sometimes unforeseen events occur in a family's life resulting in the difficult decision to rehome their dog. Milo's parents love Milo and want the best for him. For this reason, they have decided to get help from DoVE to find Milo a home that is better suited for him.
ABOUT JINDOS
Jindos are known for their fierce loyalty, high intelligence, rarely barking, and playful nature. They make great indoor family dogs, as Jindos are clean and easily housetrained, and are faithful to family members. They are also mid-level active and love being socialized at dog parks, going on hikes, and joining the family on trips.

DoVE Project operates a shelter in South Korea, where our dogs stay until they are matched with an adopter. In the US, our dogs stay in foster homes or in boarding, as we do not have a physical facility. These dogs are identified with "in LA" in their names.
Please note that we only adopt our pups in the Southern California area. Please check our website for more information regarding our adoption process, our mission, and adoption application: https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-process
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an online application at: https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-application-form.
