Hello, I’m Quail!

I`m just a little bun learning the way of the world. I am getting used to being handled and love getting to come out of my cage for social time. I get to play with some of my siblings and would love to get to go home with one of them if possible. We do better in pairs. I will need to come back to the shelter to be spayed/neutered and microchipped once I`m old enough but don`t worry, that cost is covered in my adoption fee! If you`re looking to bring home a new fur-baby I bet I could be the one for you! Come on down and ask to meet me and my siblings!

My adoption fee includes a certificate for a free vet exam.

My mom came into the shelter as a stay and shortly after had me! The above information is based on my behavior seen while at the shelter and in my foster home. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.

Shelter Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM every day of the week.

Adoption fees vary. Dogs, cats, and rabbits are all spayed or neutered before adoption, include initial vaccinations, a microchip for I.D., and a certificate for a free health check at a number of local veterinarians.

We're located on Greenhill Road between W. 11th and Royal Avenues, approximately 3 miles south of the airport. Directions from east or west: From the east, take the Beltline or surface streets to Barger Rd, or West 11th, and head west to Greenhill Rd. Turn left on Greenhill Rd (from Barger) or right from West 11th; we're approximately a mile down the road. From the west, take Hwy. 126 to Greenhill Rd., turn left at Greenhill Rd.

More about this shelter

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.

Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.

Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
