My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Havana is a four-year-old female Australian Shepherd mix with a calm and affectionate personality. She’s a mature girl who’s ready to find her forever home with a loving family. Her gentle soul and warm heart make her the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a furry best friend to their life!
The Pros of Adopting Havana:
• People-Lover: Havana adores human company and thrives on affection and cuddles.
• Kid-Friendly: Gentle and patient, she’s a great fit for families with children.
• Dog-Friendly: Havana gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine sibling.
• Mature & Relaxed: At 4 years old, she’s past the puppy stage and ready to settle into her new home.
• Perfect Companion: She’ll happily join you for a walk, a drive, or a quiet evening on the couch.
Things to Keep in Mind:
• Escape Artist: Havana is clever and has a knack for sneaking out of yards or gates. A secure, well-fenced yard is a must for this adventurous girl.
• Nervous with Fireworks & Weather: Loud noises like fireworks or thunderstorms can make her uneasy. She’ll need a safe, quiet spot to feel secure during these times.
Havana is heartworm positive, but that is a treatment we can do for you right here at the shelter once she is adopted! This sweet girl is the kind of dog who will reward your love and care with unwavering loyalty, sweet snuggles, and years of happy memories. If you’re looking for a devoted and affectionate companion, Havana is ready to fill your heart and home with joy.
