Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Country!
Country is a certified baby hippo - for real! She's just about the size of Moo Deng and, unlike him, will not grow to be a 600 lbs creature with teeth over a foot long... which is honestly a good thing as at that point, Country would not be able to fit on the couch. Country is perfectly couch sized and she will take full advantage of that to cuddle up next to you for movie nights and to snooze the day away. Country is a sweet girl whose favorite hobbies include being massaged, cuddled, pampered, and then rolling around on the grass like that's the only way she could get her itches scratched. If you are in search of a life sized baby hippo and are missing 95 lbs of love and sweetness in your life, this girl is the one for you.
Country is in our special adoption program, she is looking for a home as an only pet with a family that loves to cuddle and play. If you are interested in her, please complete an adopter's program at parl.org and email Claire at cshamgochian@parl.org

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.
When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.
If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
