My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty aka Rastafari aka Rastafarian is your 'peace, love and good vibes' kitty! This beautiful striped and marbled ginger tabby just LOVES EVERYBODY!  He enjoys all the beauty that life has to offer, whether that be with humans, other kitties or the dogs in his foster home! The minute his eyes meet yours, he starts his purr factory. This is partly because he is a former bottle baby and those kitties imprint on humans early on. So, that makes them really connect with humans.  He loves home so much that he doesn't showcase his wonderful attributes (most kitties do get quite nervous with all the new scents and hustle and bustle).  But, he's not even completely bummed that he hasn't found his forever family yet; he knows his turn is coming and he's patient.  Perhaps it's the lore of an orange tabby, maybe it's his great foster home, or it's genetics, whatever it came from, Rusty is just full of tenderness and love. Don't misunderstand, when he's ready to play, he's all in!  He is ready to chase his siblings and jump around the room with great kitty antics that will make you giggle. But, when it's time for a nap, he would be happy to curl up in your lap or snuggle with his siblings! Because of his extremely sweet nature, he could get along in any configuration of home.  Approx. 7 months (1 '25)

Adoption fee is $200.

More about this rescue

Whiskers, Tails and Ferals is a network of volunteers and foster families caring for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens who have been abandoned, are feral, or are facing the threat of being euthanized at an animal shelter.
All dogs and cats that come into our program are spayed or neutered. Felines are FeLV and possibly FIV, vaccinated, wormed (as needed) and micro-chipped.
All sick animals are immediately put under the care and supervision of a Napa veterinarian and Whiskers, Tails and Ferals pays for their medications.
The cats and kittens that are not able to be tamed, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and returned to their colonies where colony guardians continue to feed and care for them.
