BIG, Lovable, Orange/Caramel Tabby, Biscuit-Making, Purr-Machine!!! We'd like to introduce you to Landon! On Jan. 7, 2025, we brought handsome, green-eyed Landon home to foster. He has settled-in just fine. Landon makes biscuits while he walks with his tail up high, he purrs when he is resting, he purrs a good bit of the day, and he purrs loudly. He's a leg-brusher. Landon likes to be near or on a lap, even if the lap is not large enough. (Landon weighs a solid, muscular 19.2 pounds). He nuzzles and gets as close as he can - not even a sheet of paper will fit between him and his person. He likes pets and scratches and rubs, but he does have a limit. If he begins to wrap his paws around your wrist, it is his signal that he has had enough. (It may be a male, orange tabby trait. My large, male, orange tabby of many moons ago did the same thing).
He does not meow much, but when he does, it is a softer meow. Landon does not use his bed during the day - it might be too small! He prefers to stretch out on the settee or on the couch. He also likes to curl up on the couch with a pillow for his head. He LOVES the front window - the birds have really caught his attention - and is our own Mrs. Kravitz. ('Bewitched' fans will know who this is). The back slider offers another outside perspective. He may stop-by between window-surfing to give a leg rub, or to receive a head scratch, or to pause for a quick rest from all of his surveillance.
Landon likes the teaser wand toy and plays a bit with a ball tower. He does like to be brushed and will allow me to cut his nails, two paws per session, so far. Surprisingly, he had no reaction to the vacuum cleaner.
The day after we brought Landon home to foster, he met 8 family members, all at once; the youngest is 5 years old. He LOVES people!
Landon needs people, attention and space but no other cats. Landon has always been an only cat and would thrive in a household with adults that can shower him with love. His new family will need to happily pet Landon and give him scratches and rubs, allow him to be a lap cat or to be next to his person/people, have a window for watching the world go by and just want a big, friendly, young (about 4ish years old) cat that likes to purr and knead. As a bonus, Landon usually will come when called and will happily oblige if you pat your lap for him to join you.
Landon is already microchipped for his new family to add their information. According to Landon's paperwork, he received a 3-year rabies shot in Sept. 2024. (Note: Landon had been adopted in 2023, and sadly, his loving person died in the Fall of 2024. One of our FC volunteers drove to Massachusetts and brought Landon back to FC).

The adoption counselor will review the paperwork and the medical form with the adopter. This is a good time to ask questions before signing.
Pay Fee
