My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Geri aka Ger-Bear!

STRAYCATION UPDATE!

HOUSE-TRAINED, CRATE-TRAINED AND WOULD LOVE ANOTHER FUR SIBLING PAL!

This lively, 45-pound pharaoh hound/lab mix is almost two years old and is eagerly looking forward to experiencing all life has to offer with a family!

Geri enjoyed a nice straycation and we can't wait to share all the wonderful things we learned about her! A pup like her is not meant for the kennel, so please read below and consider making her part of your family!

Not just a pretty face, Geri is both house-trained and crate-trained! She played very well with her foster fur sister and did well respecting her boundaries. If you're looking for a fun-loving playmate for your fur baby, Geri's your girl!

She enjoys all sorts of tasty treats and will sit nicely for them. Geri enjoys a variety of toys, and will need some tough ones to keep her occupied. She has learned several commands and is eager to please. A social gal who can wiggle with the best of them, Geri is content to toss her toys around herself, keeping herself happily entertained.

Geri loves being outside and her new family will need to commit to keeping her active every day. A yard for her to enjoy is a must for this spectacular pup! If you love the outdoors and are looking for a partner for your adventures, look no further! Geri would love to hit the trail with you or even be your running buddy! She will need lots of mental stimulation and enrichment to keep her happily engaged in her new home.

Geri is a rockstar in the car and will even take a nice snooze during rides. As she is still a young lady, Geri's forever family will need to devote time to training, play, and snuggles of course! What better way to spend your time than hanging out with this amazing pup? At the end of a fun-filled day, Geri sleeps quietly through the night.

Based on our evaluation, we feel she would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages 12 years and up. She may have the potential to live in a home with other dogs of a similar energy level. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.

If you think Geri could be the pup for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our gorgeous Geri!
