Life gave Cookie some seriously bad crumbs, but this resilient 8-year-old rescue is ready for a fresh batch of love and cuddles! After enduring a rough past, Cookie is learning the joys of indoor living—and let us tell you, she’s crushing it (and not just her dog biscuits!).

Cookie’s Backstory: She’s survived being tied up outside and fed spoiled meat—talk about a tough cookie! But despite it all, she’s got a heart as soft as a fresh-baked treat and is eager to soak up all the love she missed out on.

Current Status: Cookie is mastering the art of being a house dog, one potty training session at a time. Sure, there’s the occasional "Oops, not there!" moment, but who doesn’t have those when they’re learning something new? Her foster family is cheering her on, and Cookie’s proving she’s a quick study.

Cookie’s Ideal Home:

A calm, patient household where she can take her sweet time adjusting.
No small children, please—Cookie’s still getting her paws under her and might need a bit more space to feel comfortable.
Someone who understands that sometimes the best things in life need a little extra love (and maybe a few belly rubs).

Most of our dogs are seniors and we like to place them with people who are at home most of the day, including work from home.

More about this rescue

We bring in the senior dogs and medically needy dogs.
We are a small rescue making a difference in the world. No dog deserves to dumped in a shelter after giving their entire life to a family.

I had locked myself away from the world back in 2010. I saw this tiny ShihTzu on the news that had been saved from a puppy mill bust. I adopted Princess Reagan Marie and she saved my life. I wanted to help other dogs so I started fostering. In May 2021 I open my rescue.
