This little man`s name is Chance! Chance is a bay pony who came to us in the summer of 2024 with massively overgrown hooves. When he arrived his haircoat was very long and he looked like a mini woolly mammoth. After numerous hoof trims, vet exams, baths and a few body clipping sessions, he was feeling much better. His hooves are still recovering from the long-term neglect, and he does get sore if ridden too much.
His spunky personality and adorable face made him a quick favorite among staff and volunteers. Chance is good for catching, grooming, tacking up and riding. He has been ridden by our young lesson students for short rides in the arena. He is a senior horse, so his adopter should keep that in mind.
He requires a half tab of Prascend to manage his comfort levels after being diagnosed with Cushings Disease. He also requires a small amount of senior feed to help maintain his weight and a dry lot or grazing muzzle if out on pasture. Think you want to take a chance on Chance?
