Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Venus
2001 Registered Thoroughbred Mare - DareToBeBare
Venus came back from foster with two of our other companion horses - Chelo and Jill - through no fault of theirs. Venus has been besties with Jill since being at foster together and feels very safe around her. Venus can be a little nervous, but earning her trust has been so rewarding. It's been lovely to see her flourish and become more comfortable with us. After years on the track, our vets would like her to stay a non-riding companion for you and Jill. They have done well turned out with others, as Venus can be a little lower on the totem pole. Venus does well for the farrier and vet, and has great leading manners.
Venus and Jill were in our C.A.R.E. foster program together, and would love to stay together. Let us know if you'd like to meet these girls and hopefully give them their forever home!
Suitable as a Companion Horse.
Adoption Fee: $300 or eligible for the C.A.R.E Program

More about this shelter
Mission:
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, works together with our community better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care.
Vision: A just and compassionate world for all animals.
Lollypop Farm is not your typical animal welfare organization. We don’t classify ourselves as merely a shelter, simply taking in and rehoming pets. Rather, we are your partner. We’ll work with you to build a just and compassionate world for all animals–to save animals from abuse and suffering, to find a resource to keep your pet, to guide you in adopting a new pet, to make the tough decision to say goodbye to your family friend or to share information on how to help animals in your daily life.
