Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello, kind folks. My name is Heather, and I’m here to share my story, though it’s a tough one to tell. I’m a simple blue-gray and white pitty mix—nothing flashy, nothing fancy—and that seems to have made me invisible to the world. I’ve been here so long that I’ve become the shelter’s longest resident, watching countless dogs and cats find their forever homes while my cage remains untouched. Not a glance, not a second look.
Let me tell you, I have so much love to give. I know how to love and I long to be loved back. But I need your help. You see, I’m high heartworm positive and starting to show symptoms. If I don’t get out of the shelter soon, this disease could take my life. The staff does their best, but they can’t treat every dog, especially one like me who hasn’t caught anyone’s eye.
I’m begging for a chance. I’m housebroken, I love other dogs, and I would thrive in a foster home where I could heal after treatment. All I need is someone to see the dog I am inside and give me the chance I deserve. Please consider fostering or adopting me—my time is running out, and I promise, I’m worth it. Let me show you the love and gratitude I’ve been waiting to give. ??
