Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi! I`m Mrs. Nesbit! I`m a 2 year old brindle pocket pittie and I am READY for my forever home.
I was found as a stray but my friends at the shelter and my foster family are helping me see that life is actually SO FUN! I LOVE your attention and just want to please you. I don`t have a mean bone in my body: it`s all sweetness, love, and excitement! My foster family says I am a one in a million sweetie.
Ideally I`d like to be cuddled in your arms, sleeping on my bed, or meeting new friends (though I`m still working on staying relaxed when meeting new friends, human or canine- I`m friendly but just so excited!) I am very social and LOVE people, and I`m working really hard on expressing that love by sitting for pets instead of jumping up for hugs. I still get pretty excited at the world (major puppy vibes) so I`d love a patient home to help me experience all these new things. But don`t worry- I`m a fast learner!
I love my foster dog sister, and would do well with a playful doggie sibling. I`m also doing well with the resident cat, though I still get excited when he starts running around. I do have a strong prey drive so all cat intros should go slow (so I don`t mistake them for a squirrel!). More training on walks will help me stay nice and relaxed when facing the squirrels of the world since I`m a strong gal. I`m house broken and I don`t make a peep when you leave me alone.
Come and meet me and fall in love today.

More about this shelter
We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
