My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roxy is a calm and laid-back girl who wants nothing more than to chillax with her people and be part of the family activities. She came to the shelter when her owners could no longer care for her. In her former home she was reported to be good with young children and all dogs (small and large)! Wow, what a catch!

Her volunteer friends enjoy spending time with her, sharing:

“Roxy is treat motivated and let me leash her with a big loop. She walked very nicely on the leash. We went to a play yard and she kept soliciting pets. She really likes the side of her face pet. After a while she laid down and just seemed to want to relax.”

“Roxy is opening up more and more! She is friendly and allows leashing in her kennel. She walks to the play yard and checks in on her nervous kennelmate. Once in the yard, she loves to sit by your side and get pet! She is a sweet and tender, calm, and gentle girl!”

While Roxy has been nervous in playgroup with a large group of dogs, she shares her kennel politely with another pup and is a sweet friend to him in the play yard. She may did well with a calm, confident doggy friend to help her feel safe in her future home.

Roxy is hoping for a loving family who will welcome her indoors and include her in their daily lives. She will reward your patience and willingness to train her on indoor doggy-life skills with her affection and devotion! Come meet her today!
