Gadget is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 44 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Gadget is good with kids and cats! No dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained.

Gadget nipped the owner’s boyfriend’s 9 year old daughter. This occurred when she fought with her younger sister and he tried to herd her away from her sister. The owner is surrendering him because of this bite incident. He is also very territorial/protective when he is around the owner and nips people who try to get close to her. They are unable to provide the training that he needs. He needs to go ASAP!

If you think you can provide a great home for Gadget, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Gadget.

Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.

In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 79,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.

Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.

We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
