Welcome Icy! Icy is just a tiny little thing about 14 pounds and pretty much full grown. She loves other dogs and loves playing with other dogs and finds confidence when they are around.
She is a bit shy when first meeting but will come up to sniff and wag her tail at you and will take a couple of days to really settle in, but once she knows you, she is very affectionate, her tail is always wagging and very sweet!
We believe she was mistreated at some point in her life because it has taken some time for her to trust us to pick her up and not hurt her. She still cowers when we pick her up but is learning to cuddle in and is starting to accept being held. It is obvious that she loves people as she follows us everywhere and wags her tail and will wrestle with us when we play with our hands. But she will require some patience from someone in terms of picking her up.
If you are sitting she will eagerly sit next to you. She is excellent in a crate if she needs to be in one.
She can often be found pulling toys out of the toybox and spreading them all over the room and right in the middle of the dog pack playing eagerly with anybody who will join in. She would do fine with other dogs, cats, kids as long as the children know that she’s going to take a little bit of time to trust them.
Icys adoption fee is waived to the right person who is able and willing to give her the safe, secure and patient home that she deserves.
All dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico.
