My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Candied Yams! This special puppy is looking for a special home. Yams is a friendly and affectionate little guy with so much love to give. He loves to play just as much as he'll love to snuggle up with you. He also enjoys romping around the play yard with other dogs!

Yams was born with a spinal issue that causes him to have an abnormal gait, as well as incontinence. So, he'll need a family that understands his quirks! If you've got a warm horse barn or you're ok with changing diapers, Yams is the guy for you. He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

For more information on Yams, email our adoptions team at adoptions@caspca.org, or stop by the CASPCA to meet him today! We are open from 12-6 PM daily, no appointment necessary.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
