Cannon was found in a Walmart parking lot in rough shape from the tomcat life. He needed a lot of TLC and vet care, but now he's a lovely lad ready for his forever home. He loves to hang out in his human's lap, or perch in the window to watch the world go by. He also loves his blanket and chasing his fishie toy. He's not fond of adult cats, but is warming up to the foster kittens (who get a bap-bap-bap on the head if they get annoying). Dogs? No. Just no.
As a result of his street life, Cannon is positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). This is not transmissible to humans and can only pass to other cats via deep bite wounds; casual household contact is safe. FIV+ cats can live a good long life if their people keep an eye on them and seek vet care for any illness.
Cannon is looking for a peaceful home. Are you his new best buddy?
Please contact NTCR AT 214.454.9395 should you have any concerns or questions.
Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com.
