My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a bestie who loves to be near you, keeping you in her sights like her cozy security blanket? Meet Winnie, a 7-year-old beauty, who is most content when she has you in view! Winnie has the sweetest way of asking for attention! She’ll sit beside you and gently pat you with her paw when she wants some pets. And if she’s sleeping nearby, she’ll make cute little sounds as if to say, “Hey, pet me!” It’s so hard to resist her gentle requests! And wait ‘til you witness Winnie’s regal sleeping pose—she stretches out on her side with her paws crossed, like a refined little lady. At night, she loves to snuggle on or beside you, always being a polite sleeper who never disturbs you. Winnie is super food-motivated, and mealtime is like a little celebration. When it’s time to eat, she’ll get all excited, meowing and glancing back at you while you bring her dish. For naps, she loves to curl up wherever she can keep an eye on her human, so you’ll often find her where she can watch all the goings-on in her home. At playtime, spring and wand toys are Winnie’s top requests, and she goes especially crazy for anything with catnip and can’t get enough of those catnip toys! Winnie will likely be a bit shy at first, needing a couple of days to feel safe and come out of her shell, but when she’s comfortable, she’ll reward you with her sweet, loving personality and adorable vocalizations. Winnie is a delightful mix of independent and endearingly needy (in the best way possible!). She will call out with a soft meow if she can’t find you, to make sure you’re still around. And when she’s feeling chatty, she’ll “ask” for some pets or attention, and she’s always ready for a cozy hangout. This lovely lady does enjoy lap time but on her terms. She gets along with other cats. Dogs and children are unknown. Although she can be a solo cat, Winnie would like another cat friend in her new home.

Winnie was rescued from Animal Services where she was scheduled to be euthanized. We are so happy we were able to save this beautiful girl, still in the prime of her life, and give her the home at last she deserves.

Are you ready to open your heart to this sweet girl who will charm you with her adorable personality and keep you company through thick and thin? Fill out an application if you’d like to meet and chat with Winnie!
