Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bear (fka Obsidian)!
He is one of 6 black lab pups that has been in boarding for the last 7 months. Bear is an 8 month old lab, flat coat retriever, german shepherd mix, who currently weighs about 29 lbs. He landed a foster home in Boise with other dogs & kids. Bear does fine in a kennel, walks nicely on a leash, house trained, and has learned to use a doggie door! He is beginning to show his silly personality more each day & has started zooming around the yard with the other dogs in the home & does great at adjusting his play style with the older dog his foster home as well. He is intelligent & loyal to his people and they've been calling him "little bear" and he follows them around the house and just wants to be with his people.
Here is what his current foster has to say:
"This sweet, 8-month-old pup may start off a bit shy, but with patience and love, he’s ready to blossom into the loyal companion you’ve been searching for. Bear is still learning to trust his people, but once he does he his gentle, affectionate side shines through. He’s great with other dogs and loves a cozy spot to nap or a quiet walk. If you’re looking for a calm, sweet-hearted dog who’s potty trained to give a second chance, Bear might just be the one."

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
