My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dusty was tearful relinquished to Boston Buddies due to his owner battling mental health issues.  Even though he has experienced some instability in his life, this 10-year-old, 16-pound, Boston Terrier is very calm, confident, and well adjusted.  Dusty integrated with his foster brothers and sisters with no issues.  He is dog friendly, nonreactive to the cats he met at the vet and loves every human he has come into contact with.  Dusty has been fully vetted to include a dental and the removal of a fatty mass on his paw.  This guy is the complete package!  Great looks and an award-winning personality.  Dusty rides great in the car and is making wonderful strides on his leash walking. He uses the doggie door to take care of his business…. But he is a bit of a marker (only negative habit he has).  His foster parents are working on this bad habit & he is currently sporting a belly band in the house.  At night he loves to snuggle in bed right beside his foster Mom and canine foster siblings.  His foster parents can’t say enough good things about this guy.  If you need to leave to go to work or run errands, no worries, he is fine to be left alone.  That just allows him some “me time” to sunbathe in the yard or lounge on a dog bed in the living room.  He was an only dog but he now lives with multiple dogs so we feel he could easily adjust to any domestic situation.  Microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccines Dusty is ready to find a place to enjoy his retirement years.  Are you looking for a dashing date for your upcoming holiday events?  Our Ginger American Gentleman would make the perfect escort!  If he sounds like your perfect match, head on over to our website: www.bostonbuddies.org and complete an application. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Boston Buddies adopts its dogs to loving and caring homes located in Southern California. We do not place our dogs in homes with children under the age of eight. The first step in adopting a Boston Buddy is to submit an Adoption Application which can be downloaded at our website, www.bostonbuddies.org. After a home visit with one of our volunteers and approval of the Application we will arrange meetings with dogs that will be compatible with the approved adopter. An Adoption Application and Adoption Fee is required, as well as follow up visits.

More about this rescue

Boston Buddies is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing Boston Terriers who are abandoned, neglected or abused and placing them in permanent, loving homes. Our ultimate purpose is to match homeless or potentially homeless Boston Terriers with loving, permanent families specifically interested in the breed. We do not have a brick and mortar kennel facility. Instead, we provide our rescue dogs with temporary foster care in private homes located throughout Southern California where we can assess their personality and preferences. All of our dogs are examined by a vet and provided all necessary medical treatment, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and put on heartworm preventative.

Boston Buddies is always looking for volunteers to help with shelter checks, transport and foster home care. We invite you to visit our website – www.bostonbuddies.org
