My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi friends! I’m Kai, a pup with special needs. You see, my friends here at the shelter think I might have Spina Bifida. My life might look a little different, but trust me, I don’t let anything hold me back!
Spina bifida means my spine didn’t fully develop, so I wear cool belly bands to keep me clean and comfy. I also get lots of extra love, care, and belly rubs from my amazing humans—they say I’m their little superhero!
I may have a few special needs, but my heart is FULL of love, and my nub never stops wagging. Every day, I show the world that being different is beautiful and that disabilities don’t define us.
If you ever meet a dog like me, know that we’re not “broken” or “too much work.” We just need a little extra help to live our best lives. And guess what? We give SO much love in return! Are you ready to receive that love?
