Meet Aki💗

Aki was rescued from a breeding farm along with #AdogsAji and #AdogsNoah during Adogs’ early days. She was adopted, but in September 2024, she sadly returned to the center after her adopter suddenly passed away. Aki is now looking for a new family to help her overcome this loss and enjoy a happy new chapter in life.

❗Health Status❗
* Spayed.
* Microchipped.
* Needs liver supplements and care as her liver is not in good condition.

* With People: Adores people so much. Warms up quickly even to strangers, showing her affectionate nature. Likes to be cuddled and wags her tail, asking for being petted.
* With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs! Has interest and positive actions with dogs she has not met before.
* Separation Anxiety: Spends time well in sleeping by herself. Waits without any issue when she is left with a doggy friend or human being.
* Potty Training: Is so smart that she uses pads very well. Prefers to go outdoor for feces.
* Hygiene: Calmly accepts bathing, drying, and brushing.
* Walks: Walks very well without pulling on the leash. Has occasionally interest in other animals and tends to comes closer to them. may need additional house training as she is currently residing at the shelter.

* Barks at first when a stranger enters the room, but subsides shortly.
* Is well trained of calling back. Comes back when being called.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We highly encourage the applicants to be as thorough as possible in their application!

2.
Interview

Once the application is reviewed, applicants will be invited to zoom interviews which last usually 15-20 minutes.

3.
Approve Application

Once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

5.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is payable in two separate installments.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Adopters will be picking up the adopted pets from the designated airports.

Additional adoption info

All our dogs fly from Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized. All adopters must agree to surrender the pets BACK to ADOGS if the adopter no longer wants the pet. All adopters must agree to provide periodic update of the adopted pet.

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
