This helps Town and Country Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Bailey is 2 yo female shepherd husky mix who came to us from an overcrowded home with her bestie Hunter. True to her breeds, she is highly intelligent and is the first to volunteer during enrichment activities. Though not overly treat motivated, she is very trainable and already knows sit and paw. She keeps a very tidy kennel though she has the typical beautiful husky coat that requires weekly brushing and a tolerance for shedding. Her sexy husky voice emerges when she's excited and her delicate prance is on display at meal time. Bailey prefers to start each day with outdoor play yard zoomies to get some of that husky energy out. Her leash etiquette is excellent and she prefers an active family who would include her in daily walks and frequent adventure hikes. Bailey scores high on the "cuddle bug" scale and craves human contact, especially belly rubs. She's great in the car, dog friendly and very tolerant of being handled thus she's an excellent candidate for a family with kids and other dogs. You could not ask for a better addition to your family.
The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.
Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.
*****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
