How’s this for a 5 star foster review? “She is such a delight, I call her my comfort dog. She is so gentle in everything she does, not a single mean bone in her body. She’s perfect.”
Ok… Osa’s foster mom might be a little in love. It’s hard not to when her calm, gentle, oh-so-loving nature is so contagious.
Osa has very clearly been wronged by many humans in her past, which makes patience the key to her decompression. Once she trusts you enough, she’s all in. She’ll be your shadow, but somehow manages to do it in a non-annoying way. She’s happy to sit at your feet while you work, and isn’t any trouble at all.
Osa’s future home would preferably be in a quiet neighbourhood, with a secure yard. A lower energy dog pal would be ideal to show her that the world isn’t so scary. She would do best in a home where people are home most of the time. Work from home or are retired? Osa would love to be your new BFF. Since loud noises startle her, we suspect she would be happiest with older or no kids. Osa passed her cat test in Mexico.
If shy girl Osa has melted your heart like she has ours, please check out www.dibsrescue.com for the adoption process and application. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with older kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
