Getting to know you! Hi I’m Cookie, and I’m a sweet girl who loves pets. I can be a little shy when I first meet you, but I warm with a gentle approach. I love good scratches and when you hit the right spot, I’ll lean into you for more. I also enjoy enrichment items such as snuffle mats and licky mats and would love to continue my training with you. I will do well with someone that can comfortably broaden my horizons and build my confidence. And did I mention I love toys? A good game of tug or fetch and I couldn't be happier. At least two in my mouth at one time makes me a very contented girl, indeed! I am sure to blossom with just a little patience and will make a wonderful companion and confidante for a loving family.

Operating the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, an open-admission facility and Alexandria’s only animal shelter, the League provides care for more than 3,500 animals every year, including strays, lost pets, local wildlife, rescue animals, and pets surrendered by their owners.
