My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

PJ (better known as Copper,)is a 3 year old Walker Hound who found himself at Animal Control. He is around 60 lbs with soft, long ears that he loves getting rubbed. PJ is an amazing gentleman who enjoys the company of other dogs and people(though, his play style might be overwhelming for some small dogs). He tends to be too rough with cats,so they may not be good as housemates.

The folks who had Copper (PJ) in their home for a while said he was clean inside and let them know when he needed to relieve himself He slept in a crate at night and was learning to use a doggie door. They also let us know that he gets car sick but that Benadryl helps. They found out that he does best with indestructible toys like Kong’s and Nylabones and that he loves treats especially Begging Strips or PB on bananas. Loud noises frighten him and he will hide in his crate for comfort..

This handsome hound was fostered at Camp Merricks where he got basic training and socialization.
Camp Merricks has donated a training session for Cooper (PJ) in order to help with his first weeks in a new home.

Copper (PJ) is truly a good boy!
