My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bounty!

Bounty is an 8-month-old Lab mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. At 35 pounds, he’s the perfect size for snuggles, adventures, and everything in between.

This sweet boy gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a fantastic addition to any family. He’s already crate trained, house trained, and leash trained—a fast learner who’s ready to fit right into his forever home.

Bounty’s story is one of resilience. He was found with his siblings and suffering from mange, but he’s now fully recovered and shining with his true personality. He’s sweet, snuggly, and loves to play, bringing joy to everyone he meets.

If you’re looking for a loving, well-mannered companion with an inspiring story and a bright future, Bounty is the one for you. Apply to meet him today and give him the forever home he deserves!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 10, 2025, 11:34 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
