Meet Moe! This sweet girl has got a heart full of love just waiting to bloom! She may be a little shy, but once you earn her trust, you`ll find a loyal companion who`s ready to shower you with affection. Here are some foster notes on Moe:
This dog is an intelligent, affectionate, and playful companion who has quickly adapted to her new environment and commands. Within just a month, she has almost mastered basic commands verbally and/or with hand cues such as `sit,` (fist) `stay/wait,` (open palm like stop) `lay down,` (fingers pointing or touching ground), `down,` and `drop it,` demonstrating impressive learning ability. She is treat and toy motivated, which makes her eager to learn and engage in interactive play, especially when playing fetch—bringing the item back every time. She really gets engaged in food dispensing puzzle toys and is persistent in figuring them out. Moe is a fantastic car rider, sitting perfectly in the car or laying down to take a nap. Overall, Moe is generally calm and quiet.
Though initially a bit skittish, Moe has quickly overcome any fears and is now a loving lap dog, happily seeking belly rubs and affection and following around her people from room to room. Moe sleeps peacefully in the crate without barking throughout the night (she rarely ever barks), and when asked, heads to the crate or bed without hesitation. Moe enjoys spending time napping by the fireplace and running around the yard, showing off her energy and zest for life. She will calmly watch through the windows to see everything going on outside.
Social and friendly with other dogs, Moe`s eager to play and get along well with neighbor dogs. She also seems to be fully potty trained. Her silky fur and beautiful hazel eyes add to her overall charm. While Moe may need a bit of training to curb her playful nipping at people, she is great about not jumping on anyone. She patiently allows her paws to be wiped clean on muddy days and waits to play hide and sniff with her food. With a little continued guidance, this loving and playful dog is sure to make a wonderful addition to any home.
