Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Peas is a sweet, young kitty who has only known love with her sister, Green Bean!
Peas was born with physical deformities to her feet, claws, and knees. The need for declawing has been ruled out. It will be important to keep her claws trimmed, as she cannot retract them. These claws will grow thicker as she ages and will need regular monitoring, so they do not develop into her skin.
Her environment should be carefully selected with materials that won't catch and keep her nails, leaving her stuck as she is unable to retract them. Deep fleece and netting are especially difficult for her.
Her climbing and hopping ability will be somewhat hampered by her knee development.
Peas needs a home without children under the age of ten. This is both for her safety and theirs, as her inability to retract her claws may lead to scratching, and young children could inadvertently harm her if they try to pull her free from a surface she's caught on. She would also prefer a home with no dogs, but might do well with an older, chill dog that wouldn't chase her and is used to cats. With the right care and a lot of love, Peas will thrive as a cherished member of your family
Adoptions are by appointment only. If you’d like meet Peas please first fill out an Adoption Consultation Form and then make an appointment for a “Meet & Greet” on our website www.fearlesskittyrescue.org.
Once on our website just click on the “Adopt” tab and then “Available Kitties”. We look forward to introducing you to our Fearless Kitties.
