My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reed (named after the Reed Lake trail) is the largest puppy in the bunch. He is a whirlwind sweeping up whomever is around with him into play mode. He is a gregarious sweet boy who is always first out and last in. Play, play, play is his motto. Everyone else stops after an hour. Not Reed, he is still hot on the trail of adventure. Reed loves 2 things; humans and food. He has to eat alone as he will shove off whoever he is eating with. As pushy as he is with food, he has no food aggression with a human hand touching the bowl or even taking the bowl away from him. Reed loves to play tug. What a grip he's got! He will hold on even with his whole body off the ground.

After a successful Home Visit the applicant is eligible to review available dogs and talk to state coordinators about making a good match.

All MAD dogs are UTD and spayed or neutered. An adoption fee will apply to any dog that is adopted after completing the above process.

Mission Statemet
Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (MAD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to rescuing Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds who have found themselves without a home (surrendered, discarded, abused, neglected or impounded). MAD does not have a physical location and is operated by compassionate, like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save and care for the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. All animals that are accepted by MAD are spayed or neutered, given medical attention and rehabilitation, as needed, and placed with foster homes until their health and evaluations are completed and they are ready to be placed in their loving permanent homes.
