Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there, I'm Velma. I look more like a miniature Scooby Doo at around 35 pounds. My past is a bit of a mystery, and I'm not telling. We do know nice people found me with an embedded collar and puppies. After many Scooby Snacks, they got us all to a shelter. The vets removed the collar and my neck feels so much better! I am all healed now and my foster family says I am looking great!
I'm thankful to have a foster family that is helping me learn the ropes of being a dog. I am learning commands and am not always sure I am getting them right, but I am trying! I am learning how to play and still do not know how to play fetch, who knows maybe I would learn it with you?!
As a crime fighter, I know to stay back and observe when uncertain. Being careful and cautious helped me keep my puppies alive. I have been leaning how good people can be and am loving all the pets I get. I do love booty scratches and being told I'm a good girl.
My neck is better and I'm wearing a collar now. I'm good at walking on a leash, but sometimes loud noises scare me and I just need a little help knowing everything is alright. I do love to sniff everything in sight, so be ready for a nice slow stroll when we head out!
I like riding in the Mystery Machine but getting in is daunting. I shouldn't live with cats because I chase them, but would do great with another dog to help learn the ropes. I'm good in the crate when alone. I know all about going potty outside and haven't had any accidents. I love to play with toys and find yak chews delicious.
Jinkies! I sound pretty perfect, don't I? There's a downside, I need to be spayed and I'm heartworm positive (the rescue will cover all the costs at one of their partner vets). I'm scheduled to be spayed on January 9th. When I am healed from being spayed, I'll be ready to hit the road and have more adventures with you. No mystery machine is required!
