My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dory is a sweet and gentle girl who has been an absolute pleasure to foster. She’s very affectionate and loves attention—she’ll rub her face against my hand whenever I reach out to pet her. When she’s happy, she loves to “make biscuits” and knead blankets

She’s great with people and handles meeting new faces well. She lets visitors pet her and has never hissed or scratched.

Dory is independent and likes to do her own thing. She enjoys playing on her own and always chooses to sleep in her own bed. She is, however, timid around loud noises or sudden movements, which can send her into hiding under the bed.

She gets quite vocal around mealtimes and will let you know when she’s hungry. Overall, she’s a loving, relaxed, and low-maintenance cat, perfect for someone who wants a companion that coexists peacefully while still being affectionate on her terms.

More about this rescue

Puppy Kitty NYC was founded in the Fall of 2014. As of July 2018, we are an official 501(c)(3) organization. We focus on three aspects: First, finding homes for abandoned or friendly street cats and kittens. Secondly, attempting to control animal overpopulation by spaying and neutering feral cats and helping the sick and injured. Thirdly, fostering is a must.
