Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Gus is very skittish when first meeting you but once he warms up to you he loves pets! He loves looking at the view outside and enjoys a nice warm place to lay, such as a cat bed. He does like temptations but loves the squeezable treats as well. He is more comfortable alone and minding his own business but doesn`t mind other cats coming up to him. He doesn`t play with toys much and prefers to sunbathe!

More about this shelter
New Hope Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization servicing Volusia County Florida since 1955.
Our policy is no-kill. We will NOT euthanize an animal to make room or to reduce pet overpopulation. “adoptable” means an animal is healthy and well-adjusted, not ill or injured, and can be safely made available to the public for adoption. We reserve the right to refuse admission due to space availability, or if the animal is dangerous, in poor health, or otherwise deemed un-adoptable.
