Hi, my name is Poppy. I am a 2 year old Tabby with white paws kitty cat. I came to my foster mom back in August VERY pregnant so my foster mom named me Poppy because I was ready to pop. I had 6 babies 5 days later and have been the very best mommy to them. They are almost 4 months now and are starting to go to their forever homes and now it's my turn to find one of my own. I am a special girl - super loving and affectionate. I love my belly rubbed and enjoy lots of petting. I do not like dogs though! I have very short ears and a bob tail. My mom thinks it may be a genetic trait I have but none of my babies had it so not really sure.
I have been spayed, up to date on my shots, treated for fleas and parasites, microchipped and tested negative for Feline Leukemia. I am positive for FIV. I've been very healthy since I have been rescued but FIV does affect the immune system, weakening it over time. I may end up being more succeptable to infections because it can affect my white blood cells. I can lead a long, healthly life though.
FIV spreads through deep bite wounds to other cats. It cannot be transferred to humans or to other kitties by sharing food/water/litter box . It is not spread through grooming and casual contact with other kitties as well.
I would love to have a home to call my own and I will gladly reward you with lots of love, purrs and naps in your lap. Please consider me!
