My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is our sweet girl, Amber. Alicia was surrendered to a vet's office with 3 other dogs, and while the other 3 were in horrible condition, Amber was not as bad. She was slightly thin, but has since put on weight and is a happy and healthy girl. We suspect that she is a Weimaraner / Malinois mix, as the Weim that she came in with did have a litter, and there was an intact male Malinois in the group as well. We estimate her to be between 12 - 18 months old.

Although she has lived with other dogs (and is in foster with many now), she does play roughly with small dogs, so may not put her with a dog under 25# just yet. She is not aggressive at all, just likes to play. She has not had a lot of structure in her previous life, and is still learning many new rules, as we think she was an outside dog.

She is doing well with her crate training and house training. She walks well on a leash. She has been good with all adults but we would prefer she go to a home with kids only over 12, so that she understands that all humans are alpha. :)

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is being fostered in Sarasota and her adoption fee is $250.

If you are interested in meeting her, please complete an adoption application at https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process. Once your application is processed and approved, we will contact you to schedule a meeting.
