Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! It's nice to meet you, my name is Sweet Pea and I am a four-year-old tabby female.
I am originally from another shelter that was working on spaying and neutering local stray cat populations. I went through their clinic and they discovered I was a very friendly girl despite my nervous nature. I find that new situations are really scary, but they were patient with me and my real personality was able to shine. I was then moved over to Stray Haven who welcomed me in with open arms!
I am a shy cat when you first meet me, but once I become more comfortable with you I am an affectionate girl who can purr all day long! Some of my favorite things to do are roll in cat nip, play with toys, watch nature through the window, and enjoy some head and chin scratches! Loud noises and fast movements do make me nervous so I would be best in a nice calm home with older children if they’re present.
I am positive for a disease called feline immunodeficiency virus or FIV which makes me more susceptible to becoming sick. This means I would need to be the only cat in the home as it is contagious. If you have any more questions on FIV please feel free to ask the staff about it!
If you are interested in meeting me, please feel free to drop into Stray Haven and say hello! Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA 194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892 (607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours: Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm Saturday-Sunday 10am-4pm Closed on Mondays
