MEET DARLA:

Darla is a sweet 4 year old, 36lb English Bulldog. Darla previously lived outdoors and was surrendered during a court case. She is enjoying now being a house pet and part of a family, even if it is in a temporary foster home - she is excited to find her own furever family!

Darla is house trainied and crate trained. She is a friendly and affectionate companion who adores interacting with people. She loves belly rubs.

She would do well in a home with dog-savvy chilldren. For her safety and to keep her happy and healthy, a securely fenced-in yard would be ideal.

Although Darla previously lived with another dog, she would be best as the only dog in the home and does, and needs a home without cats.

Darla s a brachycephalic breed, meaning she has a short snout, so experience with this type of dog is very important as she is sensitive to extreme heat and cold. She is not a good fit for a first-time dog owner as Bulldogs are extremely stubborn. She’s also not a good fit for a tether system, as she thrives on interaction and companionship.

OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
