Meet Izzy, a 1.5-year-old tuxedo cat with a heart as big as her playful spirit! This sweet mama cat is now ready to embark on her next adventure—finding her forever home. After raising six adorable kittens who all found homes of their own, Izzy is eager to enjoy a life full of love, playtime, and cozy snuggles now, too.
Izzy is an absolute blast to have around. She`s got tons of energy and loves to chase toys, watch birds out the window, and scratch her post. But don’t let her playful nature fool you—she’s also a total cuddlebug when she’s ready to settle down. Whether it`s curling up for a nap or enjoying some quality petting, Izzy is all about the affection. Just be aware—she has a little quirk: If she’s had enough petting, she might give you a gentle nip to let you know it’s time to stop. But no worries—she doesn’t bite out of malice, just to set her boundaries! One thing to note: after raising her six kittens, Izzy prefers to be the center of attention and does not enjoy the company of other cats. She’s ready to be the one and only queen of her castle!
Izzy purrs up a storm and enjoys bumping her forehead into you for attention, but she’s a bit on the quiet side—she’s never been much of a meower. She`s got a good, easygoing temperament and is quick to adapt to new environments.
Izzy`s future family will be in for lots of laughs, love, and the occasional little nip when playtime is over. If you`re looking for an energetic, affectionate cat who will keep you entertained and shower you with snuggles, Izzy is the one!

The West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) is a volunteer-based, no-kill animal rescue that was founded in 1972 in the western suburbs of Chicago. WSHS now finds homes for more than 500 dogs and cats each year!
WSHS is 100% funded by individual, corporate, and private foundations donations, and has over 450 active volunteers! WSHS is caring for about 200 animals at any given time.
