Age: 6 years old
Weight: 90 lbs

Dog Friendly: Yes, with a calm companion
Cat Friendly: Unknown

About Me:
Looking for a snuggle buddy? Taby is your girl! This laid-back 90-pound cuddle bug lives for cozy moments with her favorite people. She’d love nothing more than to spend her days and nights curled up by your side, soaking in all the love you can give. Taby’s easygoing nature makes her the perfect fit for a low-traffic home where she can enjoy peaceful vibes and plenty of affection.

My Ideal Home:
Taby would do best in a calm environment with kids 10 and up who understand her relaxed pace. She’d also be happy to share her home with a doggy companion who’s more into quiet companionship than rowdy playtime. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving soul to fill your home with warmth, Taby is ready to be your new best friend!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.

Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter

Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
