My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cashew is the last little pup from his litter who hasn’t found his forever home. 🥺 He and his brothers arrived just before Thanksgiving after being surrendered and at risk of being given away at Destiny Mall in Syracuse. 😔

While the previous owners believe he is a mix of chihuahua, jack russell terrier, pug, and dachshund, we have NOT conducted a DNA test, so we cannot confirm his exact breed. 🤷‍♀️ Based on his current age and weight, we estimate he will be between 15-25 lbs. full grown.

This last little pup just wants to find his best friend!

OFR wants to be sure you and a prospective pet are the best match. We set-up meet and greets at the foster home to make sure it's love!

Additional adoption info

Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Based in Rochester, NY our mission is to help animals find the right person to love and care for them. We rescue an estimated 550 dogs and 330 cats, annually, and that number is growing!
