Gemma is a sweet girl who has been through a lot, her original owner, my stepdad, passed away last year and I tried to do the right thing by taking her in from Alabama. I took her and I could not rehome her at the time because I still lived with my parents, so she has lived at a daycare/boarding facility since February 2024. I got my own place, and have tried my absolute best to acclimate her with my current dog, a German Shepherd, and it has gone well, but I believe Gemma will be happier in a new home. A second responsibility has taken a big toll on my mental health. Gemma is 3 years old, and she is a sweetheart. She loves to give kisses and play with toys. She hasn’t received any training. She’s great with other dogs, and has had lots of exposure to them at her facility she has lived at. I currently have her at home because it is getting costly to keep her at the facility. I am trying my absolute best to keep her home with me until I can find her a situation that is best for her.
