Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Euthanized 1/7/2025 (major medical issues)**
Marshmallow is a majestic 3-year old male Great Pyrenees who was found in the Beverly Ohio area and brought to the HSOV on December 8, 2024. This big boy was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.
Marshmallow has a snow white thick/medium-haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable classic Great Pyrenees face with soulful brown eyes, a black button nose, a large slender muzzle, and short floppy ears.
This sweet boy epitomizes the oft-used phrase "Gentle Giant", Marshmallow has an affectionate, easygoing personality.
These photos were taken late in the afternoon on December 10, 2024 when HSOV Volunteer Emma Dahlgren accompanied Marshmallow outdoors for his Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet pictures. Marshmallow was the perfect gentleman .. And he is a bit of a thief (smile) since he has stolen the heart of everyone who has met him.
Marshmallow currently weighs 99 lbs and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out his slim trim physique. He walks gently on a leash.
Marshmallow may possibly be hearing-impaired (or have selective hearing).
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Marshmallow will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership Surely someone is missing this handsome guy~
Since he was not reclaimed, Marshmallow went home with a foster family on December 19, 2024 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.
Update: Marshmallow was taken to Colegate Woods on January 4, 2025 with a variety of symptoms. He showed slight improvement on January 5th and January 6th, but took a turn for the worse on January 7th. The underlying causes of his issues were unknown, but it was something that he couldn't fight. The decision was made early on January 7th to have Marshmallow humanely euthanized.
We were heartbroken for Marshmallow (and his foster family) to learn that Marshmallow was suffering with a variety of medical issues that he was unable to overcome. In spite of heroic efforts by his foster family and his compassionate veterinarian, Marshmallow crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 7, 2025.
