Please visit the shelter today to meet this beautiful pet and inquire about adoption!
Volunteer Notes: Took out Odie (Odin - A423051) for a dog day out today. Great dog!
He was very excited get to get out of his kennel and go potty (seems very housebroken). He immediately loved my kids and greeted them with a very fast wagging tail. Very eager to get in the car and was a model car rider.
Loved exploring the park and was very social. Seems dog friendly. Knows how to sit on command and give “paw”. He is also quite good at catching treats in the air.
Was really well behaved and loving. I never heard him growl or bark. We took him to lunch with us and he was very good around human food. But of course, we had to get him a “pup cup” and he LOVED it!
Odie is 7 years old and was returned for some reason I can not fathom. Seems to be a perfect companion!

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Orange County Animal Services has hundreds of adoptable pets at any given time. We operate on a first come, first serve basis to give everyone an equal opportunity.
We strive to place every pet in a furever home, which is why the first step of adoption from our shelter is coming to our location and interacting with the pet of your choice. Adoption applications can be filled out at our shelter once interaction has taken place and are not available online.
Once your application is approved, we will ask for payment of the adoption fee.
Standard adoption fees are $55 for dogs and $40 for cats. Ferrets are $40 to adopt. Pocket pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are $15 to adopt.
We ask interested adopters to please come prepared with photo identification.
We welcome adopters from out of county and state, but do not transport animals. Interaction is still required as part of the adoption process.
