Hudson estimated date of birth 9/30/24, Tricolored, approximately 20 pounds, Northern vet feels he is Lab/Hound and possibly a little St Bernard. Hudson was dropped at a shelter in NC with whom we believe is his brother. He has obvious eye issues. His left eye is smaller than normal and sits back in his eye socket. The right eye is larger than it should be and protrudes slightly from the eye socket. At this time, I believe he is completely blind. At times I think he may see shadows but at this age it’s very hard to tell. We are working with our local vet to make sure he receives anything he needs. With that said he is the cutest puppy ever!! He plays with the other dogs (when they aren’t running away lol, he’s blind …) He loves food and can smell something yummy from the other room. Don’t you worry he knows how to follow a smell, no eyes needed for this!! We are learning words presently to help him decipher his surroundings. When going outside I am saying “step” when he needs to go down a step or up a step. He is getting this word pretty well. He will lift his paw and search for the step. He plays outside with the other dogs and will follow my voice and get himself back into the house. He does walk into a lot of walls, furniture, dogs and people but he just redirects like no big deal With the right person he will overcome this huge obstacle. He just needs time and a loving hand. If you feel you are the one who can offer this special pup a forever home, please apply!!! He needs a New Years miracle
