My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster or Forever home wanted!!!! Meet Yogi Bear!!!

Yogi Bear entered the shelter in early December 2024 as a stray with wounds to his face and legs, likely from a dog attack.  He sat in the shelter during the stray hold period hoping his family would come for him. Sadly, his family never came. Being your typical, older black dog in an overcrowded shelter, things weren't looking good for Yogi Bear.

Well, this boy is right in our wheelhouse so he took his freedom ride from the shelter straight to our vet to get the vet care he needed.  Yogi Bear's past is just that.  He's all fixed up and ready to start his new life with a family to love him.

The volunteers are still getting to know him but so far think he’s a special guy. Yogi Bear would love to break out of boarding and get into a home. He is in need of a foster or better yet, a forever home.  Yogi Bear is a sweet gentle soul about 7 years old and 75 pounds.  Yogi Bear is looking for a simple life with some walks, cuddles, a nice warm bed inside, a little sunshine outside and most importantly a family to help him feel safe and loved again.  If Yogi Bear sounds like the right dog for your home, email labradorsandfriends@yahoo.com or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org.  Yogi Bear is located in Southern California.
