Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miley von Meschede is a gorgeous 8 month old German Shepherd. Her black and tan coat is beautiful. And don't even get us started on those stunning eyebrows! This sweet girl can be a little shy at first but, once she feels comfortable, she’ll climb right into your lap for all the pets and love you can give. On walks, she starts off nice and steady, heels like a pro and takes in her surroundings. She’s great with other dogs — a polite greeter and an A+ socializer. Miley takes treats gently, enjoys mingling with dogs and people, and is happy to share her water bowl with her dog friends. She would do best in a cat-free home. Plus, cats might take her people-watching spot from the window. After a fun day of exploring, she will settle down next to you, watching the action from her cozy spot. She would love it if you shared some of her hobbies — walking, giving Miley love and attention, and people-watching. Brunch and people-watching? Count her in! Walking and meeting new pups and people? She is ready to go! For a sweet, affectionate companion who loves a good adventure, Miley is watching out from her kennel for her future family. Is that you?
Rescued from the North Central animal shelter.
Miley von Meschede is in a foster home, offsite, and is NOT at our rescue location in Los Angeles.

Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
