Meet Ponzu, the sweetest bundle of energy you'll ever meet! Look at those ears! This playful pup LOVES stuffed toys (especially de-stuffing them) and never says no to treats. Ponzu knows "sit"... sometimes—but who can focus when life is this exciting? With her sweet personality and goofy antics, Ponzu is guaranteed to fill your home with love and laughter!

Ponzu is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. You can meet her at the CASPCA every day between the hours of 12 and 6 PM, no appointment necessary. For more information, please email adoptions@caspca.org.

Additional adoption info

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.

The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that provides a safe environment for the lost, abandoned, and homeless animals of Charlottesville and Albemarle County and places them in good homes. We strive to set a standard of excellence and leadership in animal care, humane education, and progressive animal welfare programs. Our staff and volunteers are passionate about caring for the animals in our shelter and placing them in good homes. We are very proud that we are able to work with behavior issues and medical issues to give every pet the best chance at adoption.
