Izzy is a big beautiful tabby cat who was living on the streets of Annapolis, MD. He is a very sweet boy who is looking for love, he is gentle and adorable, and he will never attack anyone. Izzy is also very afraid of men, so he is looking for a female owner in a quiet home with someone who can be patient with him as he learns to socialize. Izzy absolutely loves other cats, but he is young (about 1.5 years old) and he likes to play and chase. My older cat isn't compatible with him, but any cat who loves other cats will find a friend in Izzy!
I have been working to socialize him for three months but he is still afraid of me. He was very friendly and up-close with the neighbor's wife and their cat, but he was afraid of the neighbor's husband, and he is still afraid of me (a man). He deserves a good home, and if he doesn't work out he can be surrendered to a shelter. I'm looking to give him a chance at life because a scared cat may not do well in a shelter environment.
