Safari is a 3 year old, shy shepherd mix who came in as a stray from a busy parkway, wearing a collar and a sweater. Despite his rough start, he’s ready to find a safe and loving home. Safari can be a playful guy who enjoys toys, especially balls and ropes. Safari is a bit cautious around new people and needs time to warm up, but with patience, he’s a loving companion who responds well to calm, steady interactions. He knows basic cues like `sit, lie down` and `stay`. Safari pulls a bit on lead so he will benefit from leash training upon leaving the shelter. This handsome boy would do best in a quiet home with older kids (17+) who can give him the time and space to adjust.
