My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Memphis is currently in our shelter, and he is available for foster or adoption. Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Walkin` in Memphis, or Walkin` Memphis?

Memphis was recently surrendered and is extremely stressed in the shelter environment. The noise and chaos are taking a toll on him—he’s showing signs of stress colitis, chewing open his own lips, and has just developed happy tail. He desperately needs a quiet, calm space to relax, unwind, and heal.

Memphis is a gentle boy who needs peace and solitude. He’s looking for a foster home with no other animals and no kids—just a loving person or family who can help him decompress and feel safe again. He needs some peace, quiet and routine!

This sweet boy deserves a peaceful holiday, and with your help, he can have it! Memphis just needs a chance to relax, regain his confidence, and heal in a quiet environment where he can feel at ease. Can you open your heart and home to help him get the peace and comfort he desperately needs?

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
